Community Write
Need some help transforming an idea into a story? A thought to a thing? In my 15 years of working with writers, I have noticed that for many of us, one of the biggest challenges we face is showing up to the page. Community and deadlines (lifelines) really help. Why not let yourself be held accountable, and in good company, while you write your book (short stories, essays...)?
Writing: Magical Connection to Your Divine Muse
You’ve felt it before, right? The rush. Those magical moments immersed in the creative when time stops and the world falls away and it’s just you and the page and the piece you are creating. What is that? The energy behind inspiration? The words that come gushing when we meet the muse and merge with creativity? What is writer’s flow and how can we get more of it? Is it possible to more consciously and consistently show up to receive, harness, and allow story to move through you?
Find Your Voice, An exploration in Perspective
Who tells a story–the narrative voice, how they see things–governs everything about story, just like how the voices in your head shape how you see the world in any given moment. This class will use the exploration of perspective to learn/ hone key elements of writing craft.
Write Your Book
Writing a book is an epic journey. One that requires courage, vulnerability, commitment, perseverance, and surrender. It’s a collaboration between the mind, heart, spirit and Creativity. In this class we will explore spiritual practices that invite story to move through the heart, while feeding the mind new vantage points and practices for honing craft, understanding and developing your story in new ways.
Open Your Channel & Write: Tap your Highest Creative Potential
Where does the exploration of consciousness become conscious co-creation with Spirit? The stuff of magic and miracles. When and how does writing become channeling–pulling a story through your heart, rather than wrestling it from the mind?
Allow Story to Heal and Reveal: On Writing Memoir
Everything in the universe longs to be seen and heard. Writing is a means to see and acknowledge parts of self and parts of life that are yearning to transform. From pain to healer, obstacle to teacher, memory to story, from a thought to a thing. This is the alchemy of writing.
Root, Write, Transform The Alchemy of Writing
Writing is alchemy; it’s the transformation of thoughts, memories, or imaginings into art: stories, poems, books, songs. When we write, we turn thoughts to things. With transformation, comes healing. This course will offer spiritual practices and lessons in craft, to mine your whole bodyscape for your story within. Each class will open with breathwork and meditation, and offer time for collective learning, practicing, and sharing.
